The ACP-EU Culture Programme strengthens its support to ACP audiovisual co-production

In the framework of a second call for proposals in support of audiovisual co-production in African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries, the ACP-EU Culture Programme has committed an additional € 4,150,000, bringing the budget allocated to this sector to € 10,000,000.

Following the evaluation process, two funding contracts for € 2,075,000 each were signed with the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) and the Fonds de Soutien à l’Industrie Cinématographique de Côte d’Ivoire (FONSIC), as well as with the Centre National du Cinéma et de l’Image Animée (CNC) – already partners of the programme. In order to extend the geographical coverage of the mechanism, partnerships have been established with national and regional organisations such as the East African Documentary Film Fund (Kenya), the National Film Authority (Ghana), the Rwanda Film Office and the Fonds de Promotion de l’industrie cinématographique et audiovisuelle (Senegal).

With this new funding, the CLAP ACP and Deental ACP schemes will be able to double the amount of aid granted to co-productions of films or series between ACP countries during the period 2022-2024.
