The ACP-EU Culture programme at ZIFF 2022

Like in 2021, the ACP-EU Culture programme will held a special presentation session in the framework of the Zanzibar International Film Festival 2022. This hybrid event will take place at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Zanzibar and online, on Sunday the 26th June, from 10:00 to 12:30 (East African Time). It will focus on the funding opportunities offered by the new contracts “Deental-ACP2” and “Clap-ACP2”. These have been recently signed by the Organisation of the ACP States, the European Union and respectively by the Centre national du Cinéma et de l’Image animée (CNC) and its regional partners FOPICA (Senegal) and DOCUBOX (Kenya), as well as by the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) and its regional partners FONSIC (Ivory Coast), National Film Authority (Ghana), Rwanda Film Office, Doc-A (Kenya) and Rencontres du Film Court (Madagascar). Presentations will provide an insight of the application modalities, but also share experience from film directors having already been granted support by the ACP-EU Culture programme. A representative of the British Council will also present the ACP-EU Culture programme regional hub for Eastern Africa, “Ignite Culture” and the possibilities it offers in supporting CCIs including audiovisual and cinema. Presentations will be followed by a Q/A session and debate with the audience, mainly made of film and audiovisual professionals from East Africa and other African regions.

The debate can be followed online via the zoom link
