SAVE THE DATE: High-level discussion on the AI in the audiovisual industry

On Thursday 19 October 2023, UNESCO will be holding a high-level discussion entitled “The film sector on the front line: the impact of AI on the audiovisual industry” at its headquarters in Paris.

The meeting will begin with a keynote address on strikes in Hollywood, presented by Duncan Crabtree-Ireland, National Executive Director and Chief Negotiator of SAG-AFTRA.

Next, Valériane Gauthier, France 24 journalist and presenter, will moderate a discussion with internationally renowned experts in the field of AI and the film industry. The panellists will share their ideas, exchange views on the current landscape of AI in the film industry and discuss next steps for action and protection.
