Ouaga Film Lab, the first laboratory for the development and co-production of film projects in sub-Saharan Africa has launched the 7th edition of its call for projects. After six editions in Ouagadougou, Ouaga Film Lab will start its pan-African edition from 26 September to 1 October 2022 in Côte d’Ivoire.
As a major film incubator in Africa, OUAGA FILM LAB promotes meetings between experts and talents from the African continent and their networking with professional platforms from the rest of the world. More specifically, it focuses on preparing the skills of producers and directors in order to strengthen their artistic and technical knowledge and thus facilitate their access to national and international funding.
For the 7th edition, the call for projects is open to all countries of the African continent for feature films and series (fiction or documentary). A total of 12 projects by 24 directors and producers will be selected for the residential phase.
At the end of the Lab, numerous writing residency grants in both Africa and Europe will be awarded to the best projects.
