Opening ceremony of the 27th FESPACO

Heading for Ouaga!

The 27th edition of the Pan-African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou, FESPACO, kicked off this weekend with an opening ceremony that lived up to expectations. After a cancellation and a postponement, the meeting place for film enthusiasts will be held from 16 to 23 October.

For the occasion, the dancer and choreographer Serge-Aimé Coulibaly brilliantly took up the challenge of putting on a show on the theme of Princess Yennenga. Musicians and dancers shared the stage with well-known artists such as Baaba Maal, Nourat, Amzy, or the slammer Malika.

The public came in great numbers to celebrate one of the greatest African festivals.

Long live Fespaco, long live African cinema.
