The current Covid-19 crisis is keeping the majority of the world’s students out of school and universities and confined into their homes. This European Commission’s initiative aims to offer them free access to a “platform” of quality contents to overcome the “cultural confinement” and meet the different cultures and civilizations of the “neighbours of the neighbours”.
Organized in collaboration with the European Film Festival, the Cineteca of Bologna and the LUX prize of the European Parliament, this action will provide free streaming to a selection of high quality films from different countries of Africa, the Mediterranean and Europe.
The proposed initiative will be launched on 9thMay and will last 27 days (until 4th June). The access to the streaming platform will be free of charge.
