CLAP ACP and DocA have launched the DOConnect

During the Annecy International Animation Festival, Documentary Africa* (DocA) and CLAP ACP 2 have officially concretised their partnership with the launch of the DOConnect call for projects. Between now and 31 July 2022, the call for projects will enable nine documentary projects (feature and medium-length films and series) to be selected by filmmakers and production companies from ACP countries wishing to develop them ambitiously in the framework of international co-productions.

Selected project owners will follow a mentoring programme lasting approximately one year (September 2022 to mid-2023) that will put them in touch with 10 to 15 selected producers based in ACP countries, with the aim of forging strong co-production alliances. Thanks to the support of DocA and its experts – mainly from the ARC* network – the winners will be supported in the maturation of their project, the constitution of their production file and the search for international financing.

This programme is open to all projects directed by ACP filmmakers and produced by companies established in these same countries, regardless of their language and in accordance with the principle of cultural diversity. Applications may be submitted in English or French, and artistic works may be produced in Arabic, Portuguese or Swahili.

Deadline for submission: 31 July 2022
