The British Council Ethiopia has just released a research that illustrates the overall Ethiopian creative economy.
Conducted in January 2022, the research involved multiple stakeholders from government agencies to policymakers, various international cultural organisations and over 300 creatives.
The key outcome of the study was to develop a research paper that illustrates a holistic approach to understanding the appetite that exists amongst young creatives between the age of 18 – 35 and the type of artforms performed. It also identifies the opportunities and challenges for creatives and gives programme approach, design, and delivery recommendations.
