ACP-EU Culture beneficiaries present their financing solutions in support of the film industry in ACP countries
Two film co-production funds that are beneficiaries of the call for projects “Support for audiovisual co-production” of the ACP-EU Culture Programme took the opportunity of the Cannes International Film Market to present their financing solutions and the scope of their support to the film and audiovisual sector.
“Thanks to ACP-EU Culture funding we have the capacity to strengthen the scope of our support,” said Magalie Armand, Head of the Deental Fund at the National Centre for Cinema and Moving Images.
Indeed, the grants made available by the European Union complement funding from other funds specialising in support for the audiovisual sector, making it possible to double or triple the amounts granted thanks to an ACP “bonus”.
“By focusing our action also on the Caribbean and Pacific regions, we will also be able to enhance a cinema that has often remained unknown to the general public until now,” says Vincenzo Bugno, Head of the World Cinema Fund.
